REVIEWS

BROKEN ARROW:One of Travolta's newer flicks that wont make you think too hard, watch out for the "God Damn what a rush" line. All in all a lightweight, heavy action film.

MIGHTY APHRODITE: Woody Allen's latest release. After the success of Bullets Over Broadway this one needed to be good and it is - if you like Woody Allen then this will be a treat.

HACKERS: Yep you've guessed it, this one is about computer hackers. Its a not too rigorous, dressed up unlikely hero movie which will not stretch your mind. If you like techno.. check out the sound track, and the VR graphics are pretty neat too.Nick didn't like it but I did... there ya go.

STRANGE DAYS:Cyberpunk thriller. Being called the next Blade Runner this has a premise remarkably close to Johnny Mnemonic but far far better.

12 MONKEYS:Bruce Willis in another tough guy role but you wont figure the plot of this one out like Die Hard. Brad Pitt turns in an "active" performance... some say he over plays it.......

TRAINSPOTTING:The much heralded film about the life and times of a heroin addict and his mates. You've heard the hype... believe it!

CASINO: Robert Deniro, Shazza Stone and Joe Pesci in Scorsese's latest gansta flick.

DESPERADO: Antonio Banderas at his most invincible in this gung ho partial remake of El Mariachi. For my money the original was better!

UNUSUAL TITLES.

"Le Hussar Sur Le Tot":- "The Horseman on the roof" French, subtitled. A big budget, full blown costume drama that financially equates to "Waterworld" on a European scale but beats the pants off it in every other respect.

"La Haine" (Hate):- B&W, French. Boyz 'n the Hood in Paris......

"Ghost in the Shell":- Animated, Japan. An excellently drawn example of the up coming world of Far Eastern adult cartoon films.
